Every now and again I get an email that makes me glad that I ever bothered to write some tunes and release them on the interweb. Here’s one like that:

Hey Mark, I’ve just been listening to Open Heart Zoo and suddenly thought, ‘Hey I wonder how Bedroom Talent is getting on?’ (About a couple of years ago across the spectral void you ‘reccomended’ mr. Gretch’s work to me and dropped a link to your site which I dutifully followed and proceeded to DL a pile of your stuff – anyhoo history lesson over)

Nice to see you are getting some reaction from the men in suits. Well done. During that time I was doing a lot of late nights in the design studio and your tracks were a regular fixture. So two years on…glad to see you have recognised the strength of Soap and Bubbles…BUT..my personal favourite was ‘Too Late.’ I think in the present climate bands like Franz, The Futureheads and Dogs Die in Hot Cars are obviously seeing success, I think to some part it’s due to a 20 year cyclical nostalgia thang and well…thats what ‘Too Late’ did for me – I guess in some part it was a nostalgia thing. It’s a song that elicits an ovewhelming urge to sigh, you know, a release. In a good way. It’s not every song does that.

Any hoo keep up the good work, It’ll probably take me another couple of years to check by again… if I don’t see your stuf in Avalanche first. Nicefro P.S. Yours photo’s are still loking pretty groovey too. ;)

So that was a nice email to read :)
bye
mark
