This could be the day I've been dreading. Last night at 1.35am I heard a dog constantly barking outside. After a while I decided I would take direct action so I printed off a sign with huge letters saying "SHUT THE DOG UP" and I put tape on the top and bottom and then went outside with the intention of taping this sign onto the back door of whoever's dog it was. To my shock and horror and bewilderment I concluded that the barking was coming from inside my next door neighbour's house. It sounded like a small dog with a high-pitched "yap yap yap" at a rate of 60 bpm (barks per minute). I'm working on creating a friendly relationship them next door so I put the sign away and went home to bed.

This morning I had blissfully forgotten all about last night's canine antics until I heard the same barking coming constantly through our walls. I listened carefully and there seem to be 2 dogs. They sound like adult dogs to me so I'm HOPING HOPING HOPING that they are just being looked after temporarily whilst their owners are on holiday or something. Otherwise I'm going to have a battle on my hands to get my neighbours to stop the dogs barking.

Update
I just saw them take the 2 dogs out for a walk and go into the park near my house. One dog looks quite old, the other looks quite young. Oh crumbs is this the end of my peaceful life?
