Man injured as gangs brawl

ONE man was seriously injured and two roads were closed after a gang fight.

Police were called to deal with reports of a mass brawl near a McDonald's restaurant, in Kingsway yesterday (Monday).

They calmed the situation and closed the street and nearby Waithlands Road.

Paramedics rushed one man with serious head injuries to hospital.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

Kingsway was still closed in both directions this morning as investigations continued

Blimey. I drove past this when the road was closed. There were 3 cars piled up, police cars everywhere, men in forensic suits walking around. Apparently there were baseball bats involved and it is likely to be drug related.
