I just want to get this on record before some big phone company comes along and does it before I get to say it first. Using a standard (not flip/slide) mobile phone with only 1 hand is awkward because of poor button placement. You have the large screen and then the small buttons at the bottom which leads to poor distribution of space and weight.

So here is my solution.
Have the buttons at the top of the phone and the screen at the bottom et voila! one-handed phone use becomes suddenly so much more comfortable. You can get a miles better grip.

Hope you all followed that. Mark my words, they'll all be designed like that in about 3 years.
