As cars go you can’t really get more different than the reliant rialto that I’ve just SOLD on eBay and the Volvo 940SE that I’ve just BOUGHT on ebay. One is like a 3-toed sloth and the other is like a big, dopey hippo or something.

Here’s the Volvo (new pride and joy)

Here’s the reliant (old jide and proy)
Made in 1988 / 11ft Long / £350 / 3 Wheels / manual everything / no radio / no airbags / made of fibre-glass

So that’s an extra 5ft of metal that I’ll be driving around in starting tomorrow when I collect the Volvo. The volvo weight 3.5t and the reliant weight less than 1t.

I’ll probably make some kind of video when I get the volvo safely parked on my drive. I might even strap some cameras to the outside of the Volvo and get some wicked-awesome shots.

p.s. the shadows on the above 2 cars are pretty rough I know. I’ll try harder next time.

This post is dedicated to cousin kate who just lost her job and then got another one. And whilst I’m at it I may as well dedicate it to my neighbour (remains anonymous in case his boss reads this) who just got a couple of job interviews. And whilst I’m in the mood I may as well dedicate this post to my Dad who just landed a good contract to build something for someone (despite his efforts to retire). And whilst I’m on a roll I may as well dedicate this post to my girlfriend who recently graduated as a nurse and has just finished her first week as a proper professional nurse. And whilst I’m at it I may as well dedicate this post to my accountant who is going to make me look rich so that I can get a mortgage and buy a nice house, and also to my cousin becky who recently found out she is pregnant, and also to the guy who created ebay for helping me buy and sell things without leaving the house, and to the guys who made google for helping me find things, and to the people who created modern civilisations that allow me to live in relative peace & safety, and to the men who collect my bins every Friday morning, and to the loyal & commited women of the world who tolerate the many idiotic and pathetic men that roam this planet, and to the victorians who invented football so that I have a fun way to not get fat, and to the babies of this world for reminding me how perfect we all start off (no inhibitions, spite, anger, insecurities or grief), and to the teenagers of this world for showing us how naive we all are at one point or another, and to the bbc for being great.
