Here’s an update in a typical yonner style (maximum information, minimum effort). Here goes:

Moved house
Lots of boxes everywhere
No internet :(
Slightly dubious parking situation (but its cool I think)
Went away for 5 days straight away after moving in (bad timing)
Came back, still lots of boxes and no internet
No fridge. no oven. no wardbroads or anything like that
Hideous (but clean) carpets throughout
Hideous (but clean) wallpaper throughout
Garden is awesome but needs couple of trellaces for added privacy
Garage is naff but will do for now as I need the storage
Outside toilet is included (not including actual toilet)
Master bedroom is HUUUUUUUUUUUGGEE
Cars are noisy but it doesn’t keep us awake
House is in quite a hussle-bussle location which makes me feel like a part of something.
Close to brother, parents, Han’s parents, 2 great local parks and 3rd awesome park just up the road, lots of old friends, familiar local pubs, local football team to join, local swimming baths, local market, supermarket and other shops.
House-warming coming up fairly soon I think. Not sure on the format but may include bringing scrapers and possibly byob and a football for the park.
2-piece suite arrives in 2 weeks (although the sofa that was left behind is SOOOO comfy) and we aren’t sure there is space for the new 2-seater as well as new 3-seater. oops!
Might buy 2nd hand wardrobes from ebay (search for ikea wardrobes within 50 miles of home brings up a few interesting things)

What else?

Floor is quite uneven in places
All doors throughout have cool art-deco style door handles
Going to remove carpet from stairs and have a runner going up the centre which should be funky cool.
Hannah is going to do a red & black colour scheme for bedroom. Should be fine. She’s flawlessly good at stuff like that.
I’ve met a couple of neighbours so far. Some I already knew, some I didn’t. All seem nice.
I haven’t met next door yet. I knocked one once but they weren’t home so I posted a wee note saying we were going away for a few days. Hannah saw the man and said hello. He was apparently very jolly and friendly so that’s mint.
Found some teenagers getting up to no good up a back alley opposite the house – awkward standoff by all concerned.
BMX concrete skatepark about 400 metres up the road – need to go and have a play some time soon (show locals how its done).
Not taken any photos yet. Need to charge some batteries and settle down first really.
Front garden is quite nice too. Has a nice mature willow tree but old house owner is coming to collect it in the Autumn so I’ll have to replace it with something equally funky.
