Well I’ve just emailed my landlord/agent and handed in my notice. I’ll be moving out of this rented house on 14th August 2006. Click below to read the email that I just sent.

... I’m wondering if “vacate” would have been a more appropriate word than “evacuate”. I don’t know, they’ll understand :)

So I’ve got less than 6 weeks left here (I think) and then I move back to my Parents’ house (the house where I spent 24 years) until I get the keys to my new/first house.

I’ve run out of money to pay the rent otherwise I’d have stayed here right up until I got the keys to the new house. But seeing as I’ve just lost about £700 p/m worth of income I can’t afford to stay any longer. I need to save all my money now to pay solicitor fees and then all those other horrid costs that appear when buying a house.

No doubt I’ll post more about the house move as it happens. But for now I’ve handed in my notice here and it’s the beginning of the end of an era for me.
