Warning. This post is what happens when I unleash my mind and allow it to stretch its legs, arms and chest. What follows is what my mind produces when it is set free.

1 temporary bout of insomnia
1 mobile phone connected to the www
1 sentimental fool who thinks he can influence the world (thats me)
1 imaginative mind

When you mix the above ingrediants you end up with 1 Mark thinking that he can somehow spread a message of love to those around him and to those in his town and to those in his country.

Love is surely the answer to the majority of society’s problems. With love (you see) comes tolerance, consideration, selflessness, generosity, honesty, self respect and respect for others. Now then if you could somehow convince everyone to embrace the concept of love just imagine the difference that would make to our everyday lives. Its not like people have to learn each of the above traits one by one, they’d just have to embrace the single concept of love and the rest falls automatically into place with minimal effort.

Hmmm… so… people generally seem to be very capable of loving their own children, parents, brothers and sisters with that FULL kind of love but how can people be persuaded to extend their love to non-relatives, to friends, neighbours, colleagues, bus drivers and even to society’s undesireables? There is no cap on how many people we can love. We don’t have a limited supply of love. In fact I think once we begin to show love then the more love builds up inside us that is bursting to get out. So it would seem that love is self-perpetuating. Cool!

Well i have absolutely no idea how it might be possible to broadcast such a message to people on a large scale so failing that you are only left with direct influence. What I mean by that is that people who have already embraced this idea of “Wholesale love” (I just made that phrase up) need to confidently, openly and shamelessly commit loving acts whenever the opportunity presents itself. There are at least a dozen opportunities everyday to do something loving and so if subscribers to Wholesale Love commit those dozen-or-so acts of love everyday in a confident, open and shameless way then their actions will inspire others to see that wholesale love is indeed a very fulfilling and productive way to negotiate life.

hmmm. wholesale love. i like that phrase. i might start a movement called the wholesale love movement in which subscribers are encouraged to make everyday decisions based on love. That would make me the founder of wholesale love. Its sound a bit “Summer of love”ish but nevermind :)

right. im done now. i can feel my insomnia fading slightly so ill try and go to sleep now. Also my thumbs are aching because Ive typed this whole message on my mobile phone!
