Might Pop to Europe Maybe

I've just been hit with an urge to drive to Europe for few days and then come home again. My route would possibly be:

Day 1
Manchester to Ashford Eurotunnel (5 hours)
ashford to paris (? hours)
paris to luxembourg (5 hours)
Stay the night in Luxembourg

Day 2
luxembourg to Cologne (4 hours)
Cologne to Dortmund (1 hour)
Dortmund to Amsterdam (4 hours)
Stay the night in Amsterdam

Day 3
Spend all morning & afternoon in Amsterdam with Lucy (the girl from the sky with the diamonds... just kidding)
Amsterdam to Rotterdam (1 hour)
Rotterdam to Hull (? hours, overnight ferry)

Day 4
Hull to home in time for lunch

So that's about 23 hours driving and 2 (or maybe 3) nights sleeping out on the continent. I would hope to find some pool halls in every town I stopped in and just try and play some pool with the local folk. That would be cool as long as they didn't follow me outside and then steal my belongings.

I will be armed with my trusty European Sattelite Navigation unit. Without it I suspect I would never find my way out of England to be honest.

UPDATE!!!
OK I've slept on this idea now and I think what I might do is just get a quick flight into Amsterdam, stay 2 nights, then come home again. Much simpler and cheaper I think :) I was going to go this coming Tuesday but just checked the 5-day weather forecast (below) and think I'll wait until it says "scorchio"



So yes, that's the new plan. Wait until it gets warm in Amsterdam, then just go to Amsterdam... and find a pool hall.
