Reliant Rialto Set on Fire - Now on eBay
Today is a sad day.
My humble Reliant Rialto 3-wheeler car is now listed on ebay in a 3-day auction starting at 1p with no reserve

I've been happily driving this car for about 6 months now. It's been the most fun car I've ever had - it's the cheap way to turn heads, people look and smile and its feels great to drive too. Totally safe too, ignore people who say they are going to fall over.
The MOT expired last week so I booked it in for the test. However, when I sat in the car to drive it to the garage, it started smoking from the bonnet. I lifted the bonnet and saw that it was on fire. I tried to put it out but it did a small explosion so from that point I just stepped back and phoned the fire brigade.
BUT DON'T WORRY, THE CAR DID NOT BURN OUT
The fire went out on its own before the fire brigade even got here but they squirted the engine with a little bit of water just to make sure. It burnt through a few cables and other plastic parts but the car itself is undamaged. The fire did not get into the cabin or anything like that.
The flames were coming from the engine block (don't know the technical term sorry). I'm sure its all fixable but I don't have the time, effort or knowledge to put it right. So I'm letting it go to the highest bidder. No Reserve.
Any questions, just ask.
No Tax. MOT expired this month. It probably does start but I'm not going to be the one to try it. Comes with about £4 worth of petrol still in tank.
A great car. She will be sorely missed. My girlfriend was actually chuffed to bits when she found out that I had to get rid of it. She never did like it (snob!!)

So yes, it's all very sad. I will now have to get a boring, 4-wheeled vehicle instead. Very sad indeed.
